If Donald Trump earned any points by not royally screwing up the meeting with North Korea leader Kim Jong Un earlier this week, he’s back to proving to America that he’s as unhinged and unpresidential as ever.
Today, Trump had an angry explosion on Twitter, in which the president attacked the New York Attorney General’s office because it is suing Trump and his family for fraud. The lawsuit, which is targeting the Trumps via the president’s fake charity, the Trump Foundation, had gotten Trump so worked up that he unleashed his fury in several tweets, which eventually devolved into whining about Hillary Clinton (as usual). Trump ranted:
The sleazy New York Democrats, and their now disgraced (and run out of town) A.G. Eric Schneiderman, are doing everything they can to sue me on a foundation that took in $18,800,000 and gave out to charity more money than it took in, $19,200,000. I won’t settle this case!…”
“….Schneiderman, who ran the Clinton campaign in New York, never had the guts to bring this ridiculous case, which lingered in their office for almost 2 years,” he wrote. “Now he resigned his office in disgrace, and his disciples brought it when we would not settle.”
Among the things that the New York Attorney General brought against Trump, there were several illegal operations alleged in the lawsuit, some of which included self-dealing. Trump regularly used charity money to pay off his many business-related lawsuits and even used his so-called “charity” money to buy a $10,000 portrait of himself.
As usual, Trump has gone off the rails because he knows he’s going to be caught. This is standard behavior for when Trump knows he’s guilty and is frantic for solutions and a way out. Today might be the president’s birthday, but he sure isn’t celebrating. After all, the present turns out to be for everyone else in America.
