While Donald Trump has become known for his very problematic bromance with Russian president Vladimir Putin, one of his other close friendships is making headlines right now and it’s pretty damn disturbing as well.
The relationship between the president and Fox News host Sean Hannity has been well-documented over the last few months, but insider details have just raised major red flags. According to a new report by New York Magazine, Trump is practically using Hannity as an advisor — they speak several times per day, and Trump makes sure he speaks to Hannity every night before bed!
Now all jokes aside, this is incredibly disturbing and has serious implications for Trump’s presidency. According to White House officials, Trump and Hannity’s bedtime conversations usually happen right after Hannity’s show and help Trump “decompress.”
Officials are also concerned that Trump uses Hannity’s influence to fill “the void” that was left by former chief strategist Steve Bannon. White House insiders are now incredibly concerned that Trump is giving Hannity’s advice the same weight as his own administration experts. One official stated that after watching several Fox News shows including Sean Hannity’s (which often spread lies and false conspiracies), Trump gets into a “weird headspace.” The official referred to this as a “f-cked-up feedback loop.” They said:
What ends up happening is Judge Jeanine or Hannity fill him up with a bunch of crazy shit, and everyone on staff has to go and knock down all the f-cking fires they started.”
Here’s a great example of why that’s something to worry about:
It’s now being reported that Trump’s view of the Mueller probe is almost entirely shaped by Sean Hannity’s propaganda.
There are two Mueller probes: The one in reality and the one in #Foxlandia. The gap between them has never been wider.

And the plot thickens. Hannity is also legally connected to Trump, because he is a client of Michael Cohen — Trump’s own personal lawyer (even though the Fox News host denied this).
Trump’s tangled relationship with Hannity is already worrying White House officials and having major effects on Trump’s presidency. If they don’t break this bromance up, there’s no telling what nonsense might go down between these two psychos.
