Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have had themselves a bit of a bromance going on since they teamed up back in August to completely misinterpret the nuclear deal with Iran. After coming up with some silly propaganda and lying about what the deal actually did and didn’t say, Cruz adopted a sad face and whiny voiced approach while Trump called it “terrible.”
Come to think of it that could very well have been the outcome of just about any political scenario since the race to see who can be more misinformed began.
The two have since had some differences, but for the most part have either agreed with each other or stayed out of each others’ way. For Trump, who now has an actual shot at winning the GOP nomination — because Republicans really are that stupid — not kicking far right Cruz, while his poll numbers sit stagnant, will play well with supporters. It wouldn’t hurt Trump to pick up a few religious zealots after Ted finally gives up and drops out, though he may have to pretend he uses the Bible for something other than a paperweight.
For Cruz, nothing matters, because he has zero chance of winning. Cruz can’t seem to get along with anyone in his own party and has openly bashed Republican leadership on the Senate floor for not shutting down the government because he wants them to, sending the economy into another free-fall.
Being a total failure as a candidate won’t keep Ted From trying. In a recent radio interview, Cruz announced that he most definitely will close the border and build a massive wall. That’s not the best news, right-wing extremists — “President” Cruz will use none other than Donald Trump as his general contractor.
Skipping over the process of having such a project designed, approved and sent out for bidding as law requires, Cruz would instead hand the job to Trump because that’s what idiots want to hear.
