Things just are not looking up for Fox News. As the scandal-plagued right-wing propaganda outlet continues to slip in ratings and practically bleed on-air personalities who are proving that even the rats who were not thrown overboard because of their grotesque treatment of women will flee a sinking ship, it’s hard not to take pleasure in watching years and years of karma come back to bite them in the ass.
On Friday, yet another Fox News host quit — and she made sure to do it on the air. Jenna Lee announced her exit, explaining that she loves being a journalist — something she seems to think she can not do at Fox News.
“After ten years I’ve decided it’s time for a change and I’ve chosen to leave Fox News,” she said. “So today is my last day.”
“I love being a journalist. I believe it’s what I’m called to do,” she told viewers, adding, “I have some really big ideas on how to better serve you in that particular arena and the time is now for that.”
One “big idea” is leaving Fox News, where facts go to be beaten with a shovel until they are dead. She even celebrated taking the final item off her office wall on Instagram:
Lee’s exit is just the latest in a number of mostly involuntary departures of popular Fox hosts including serial sexual harasser Bill O’Reilly and (soon) Sean Hannity.
Fox News is dying. Good.
