Joe Biden spent his Memorial Day weekend presiding over the wedding of a DNC staffer. According to People Magazine, the former vice president married Henry Munoz, the Finance Chair of the Democratic National Committee, and Kyle Ferrari.
Munoz and Ferrari are friends with actress Melanie Griffith, who attended the wedding and posted this photo to her Instagram account. “My dearest friends Henry Munoz and Kyle Ferrari were married today by VP Joe Biden. Wishing them everlasting love and a joyous life journey!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Griffith wrote.

Biden supported gay marriage before most politicians embraced the idea, even former President Obama. Ahead of the 2012 election, he publicly endorsed same-sex marriage as Vice President of the United States, pushing Obama to become the first sitting president to finally do the same.
This is not the first time Biden has presided over a same-sex wedding. In August, he officiated over the marriage of Brian Mosteller and Joe Mahshie, two longtime White House staffers. The former vice president posted a picture of the ceremony on Twitter. “Proud to marry Brian and Joe at my house. Couldn’t be happier, two longtime White House staffers, two great guys,” he wrote. His wife, Jill, tweeted, “Love is love!”

Biden may not be an elected official anymore, but he is still fighting for the rights of all Americans simply by living his life as an example of what we should all strive to be.
