Poor little tortured Trumpflakes feel like their world is ending after news broke that a predominantly black public high school in Mississippi is getting a new name.
In 2017 it might seem odd that Jefferson Davis High School, named after the “President” of the Confederacy (obviously), still had that name but the Jackson County School Board decided to make things a bit more modern by giving the school a name that is probably more appropriate for a school that is trying to churn out successful African-Americans to complete the socialist takeover of America (or whatever conservatives think is happening).
“Jefferson Davis, although infamous in his own right, would probably not be too happy about a diverse school promoting the education of the very individuals he fought to keep enslaved being named after him,” Davis Magnet IB PTA President Janelle Jefferson told the school board as she requested that the school be named after a great American president: Barack Obama.
Jefferson says she wants the school name “to reflect a person who fully represents ideals and public stances consistent with what we want our children to believe about themselves.”
“I wholeheartedly agree with the name,” said Board President Camille Simms. The Board passed a resolution for the name change, which will take effect next school year.
Naturally, conservatives are flipping the f*ck out:
Don’t worry, though. We’re sure all of these people will assure you that they’re not a single bit racist.
